This is the third in a series of image from the 1807 estate sale list from Stephen Gibson of Stow, Middlesex County, Massachusetts. We’ll be posting the entire accounting (which is relatively short) and then a transcription of each image.

Inventories and accountings of this type can be a great way to garner insight into an ancestor’s life. Just learning what each item listed was used for can be an educational experience in some cases.

Unfortunately Stephen’s son who is my probable ancestor didn’t purchase anything at the sale. It didn’t help that he was probably living in Vermont at the time.
