Does Your OCR See Names Where There are None?

OCR searches of digitized images do not actually “read” the images. They look at the individual pixels on the image and, based on algorithms created from “typical” images, they text is “read.”

Most of the time that works.

Then sometimes it finds names on people’s heads.
