Even if the only person you are writing for is yourself, putting your thoughts together and &#8220;making your case&#8221; is one of the best ways to refine your research, catch errors in your reasoning, and to notice oversights. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The ideal audience is someone who is not familiar with the family or the person being discussed. Assumptions should be explained. Citations should be complete. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But it&#8217;s not just writing up your genealogy proofs that should be done. The genealogist should write up their own memories and stories as well. Grammar does not have to be perfect. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The important thing is that it get done.
