I&#8217;ve never actually given these awards while hosting a research trip to either <a href=\"http:\/\/genealogytipoftheday.com\/index.php\/ft-wayne-trip\/\">Ft. Wayne<\/a> or <a href=\"http:\/\/genealogytipoftheday.com\/index.php\/2016-family-history-library-trip\/\">Salt Lake<\/a>, but they were jokingly used in a speech several years ago.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Stack Reader\u2019s Award:<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>For the trip participant who insists on putting books back wherever they feel like it.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>The Carpet Indent Award<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Given to the trip participant who goes through two tons of books a day and causes permanent wheel indentations in the library floor due to their overloaded book cart.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>The \u201cI came this far for this\u201d Award<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Given to the trip participant who spends the most time using <em>Ancestry.com<\/em> while at the library.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>The What is a Call Number Award<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Will be given to the trip participant who is heard asking for the \u201cbig gray book of maps.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>The I\u2019ve Got a Big Right Arm Award<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Will be given to the trip participant who rewinds the most microfilm during the trip.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>The Speeding Ticket<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Two separate awards. One for running around the library ten minutes before close trying to get that last bit of information.<\/p>\n<p>The other will be given to the trip participant who is caught rewinding microfilm at speeds over seventy miles per hour.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>Emailer Award<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>This will be given to the trip participant who sends Michael the most emails during the trip.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>Potty Mouth Award<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Will be given to the trip participant who uses colorful language in the library when they are unable to find their desired ancestor.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>Selfie Award<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Will be given to the trip participant who posts the most selfies on social media of themselves standing in front of microfilm cabinets.
