The &#8220;Source Information&#8221; credits Ancestry.com operations and indictes the original data is from the State Historical Society of Iowa. It then says that more about the database can be found on\u00a0<em>FamilySearch<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/rootdig.genealogytipoftheday.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/1905-iowa-ancestrycom.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3829\" src=\"https:\/\/rootdig.genealogytipoftheday.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/1905-iowa-ancestrycom.jpg\" alt=\"1905-iowa-ancestrycom\" width=\"665\" height=\"612\" srcset=\"https:\/\/rootdig.genealogytipoftheday.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/1905-iowa-ancestrycom.jpg 665w, https:\/\/rootdig.genealogytipoftheday.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/1905-iowa-ancestrycom-300x276.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 665px) 100vw, 665px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>One can search the\u00a0<em>FamilySearch\u00a0<\/em>1905 census database for free on their site as &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/familysearch.org\/search\/collection\/2126961\">Iowa State Census, 1905<\/a>.&#8221;\u00a0<em>FamilySearch\u00a0<\/em>includes the entire card image, which\u00a0<em>Ancestry.com\u00a0<\/em>does not (only summary information regarding residence [without address], year of birth, place of birth, parents&#8217; places of birth, gender, and marital status are included in the <em>Ancestry.com<\/em> database).
