The newspaper account indicated that the Adams County, Illinois, doctors determined that Henry&#8217;s body showed no evidence of a gunshot wound but there apparently was evidence of blunt force trama to the head.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/rootdig.genealogytipoftheday.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/goldentein-golden2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-553 size-large aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/rootdig.genealogytipoftheday.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/goldentein-golden2-407x1024.jpg\" alt=\"goldentein-golden2\" width=\"407\" height=\"1024\" srcset=\"https:\/\/rootdig.genealogytipoftheday.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/goldentein-golden2-407x1024.jpg 407w, https:\/\/rootdig.genealogytipoftheday.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/goldentein-golden2-119x300.jpg 119w, https:\/\/rootdig.genealogytipoftheday.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/goldentein-golden2.jpg 494w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 407px) 100vw, 407px\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nHenry&#8217;s<a href=\"https:\/\/rootdig.genealogytipoftheday.com\/?p=386\"> death certificate on file at the Missouri State Archives<\/a> indicates he died by a gunshot wound, so apparently the official cause of death was never changed by local coroner. There is no notation that there is an amended death certificate.<\/p>\n<p>Stay tuned.
