This is not a streamed presentation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You cannot upload your\nraw data to DNA Painter. You need the segment data that you can get from\n23andme, FamilytreeDNA, Gedmatch, and MyHeritage.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From GedMatch, we\u2019ll\nuse:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>one-to-many matches<\/li><li>one-to-one compare<\/li><li>matching segment\nsearch<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>DNAPainter\u2019s mapping\ntool will be also be utilized. DNAPainter tells you when a new painted match\nhas shared DNA with other matches you\u2019ve already painted. We\u2019ll be using that\nfeature of the site.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>We will look at<\/em>&nbsp;:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>organizing your\nanalysis and process<\/li><li>documenting your\nthought process and conclusions for later review<\/li><li>tracking shared\nmatches<\/li><li>assigning segments to\nancestors and couples<\/li><li>specific\nexamples\u2013including one where the grandfather of the testee was unknown<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><em>What you should\nalready know or have done<\/em>&nbsp;:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Basics of DNA\nanalysis\u2013accuracy of predicted relationships, centimorgans and segments, why\nyou don\u2019t have DNA from every one of your ancestors, why third cousins may not\nshare DNA, why siblings don\u2019t have the same DNA, why predicted cousin\nrelationships are estimates, etc.<\/li><li>Experimented with\nDNAPainter\u2013at least painted a few matches.<\/li><li>Also recommended that\nyou\u2019ve already uploaded you DNA data to GedMatch\u2013we won\u2019t be discussing how to\ndo that in this presentation.<\/li><li>Have already looked at\nyour GedMatch results<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"text-align:center\"><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/michael-john-neill.dpdcart.com\/cart\/add?product_id=184374&amp;method_id=199353\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Order now for immediate download.<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We were finally able to give this presentation on 28 July and have now made the recording available for download.
