However, I have completed enough citations that I know what I need to craft one that is correct (or reasonably correct). Collecting that information is crucial as the research is being done.<\/p>\n<p>I looked to\u00a0<em><a href=\"http:\/\/amzn.to\/1H8sTPT\">Evidence Explained<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>for some guidance in completing the citation for this emigration document for Bertus Grass from Ostfriesland, Germany, in the 1870s.<\/p>\n<p>Reference Note:<\/p>\n<p>Ostfriesland, Hannover,\u00a0Auswanderungskonsenses [Citizenship renunciations], 1868-1913 G, No. 1955 [upper left], p. 59 [stamped upper right], Bertus Grass;\u00a0Staatsarchiv [State Archives], \u00a0Aurich, Germany; FHL microfilm 1257600.<\/p>\n<p>I was glad that I had included the roll number as a part of the file name&#8211;there were two rolls of film that included the letter G.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/rootdig.genealogytipoftheday.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/citation.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-911\" src=\"https:\/\/rootdig.genealogytipoftheday.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/citation-300x90.jpg\" alt=\"citation\" width=\"300\" height=\"90\" srcset=\"https:\/\/rootdig.genealogytipoftheday.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/citation-300x90.jpg 300w, https:\/\/rootdig.genealogytipoftheday.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/citation.jpg 498w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I also included as an image the &#8220;targets&#8221; that were a part of the microfilm.
