We don’t have a marketing department here at Rootdig and we do appreciate those who let others know about this blog. We don’t have a corporate sponsor either. We do utilize affiliate links, but I am trying very hard to keep banner and display ads off this site as I get really tired of looking at them myself.

For those who are new to this blog, a few quick comments:

• Genealogy “news” and press releases are not included in this blog.
• I only blog about my own research–which generally focuses on my children’s ancestry. If I write about a person they are probably related to my children in some way, shape, or form.
• I don’t write about locations or time periods with which I am not familiar.
• I try to be hands-on and practical in discussions.
• And I appreciate readers who have been following this blog for some time.
• Suggestions are welcome–particularly if there is a person or topic that I’ve not written about in a while or not followed up on.
