From my Genealogy Tip of the Day page on Facebook:

I was reminded of this recipe today.

When I found it I was reminded to write down discoveries or annotations. I had figured out what was underlined in red, but now I can’t remember what the decision was and I don’t have any notes about it or where I had a discussion about it.

I also got it in my head that I found a newspaper item about these cookies being mentioned a Home Bureau meeting and wondering if that’s where great-grandma got the recipe originally, but cannot find that reference either.

Take notes. Write things down. Annotate images. The discoveries here aren’t crucial, but I may spend some time today trying to see if a Jello Cookie recipe demonstration was mentioned in the newspaper writeup of the local Home Bureau meetings. I know my grandmother attended Home Bureau meetings at least through the 1980s.

[note: now I think it’s a tablespoon of milk].
