Adding Questions By Using Custom Events on Your Ancestry.com Tree

To make your Ancestry.com tree more interactive, consider adding a “question” as a custom event to relatives in your online tree there.

Adding a custom event gives you the ability to name the event how you want. In the illustration “Question” was chosen as the name for the custom event. Using no date for the event forces it to go to the bottom of the ancestral timeline.

You can always delete or modify the “Question” later. It may increase the interaction you have with those who view your tree entries.

I add Research Notes as a Custom when I need to let people know my reasoning for something; I also use the birth year so it is in the top. I sure wish there was a way to keep these Customs that I use all the time.
