GenealogyBank recently added new features to the search interface on their site:

  • saving individual articles
  • saving specific searches
  • tracking of recent searches

I’m not certain what the limits on “recent” searches are in terms of how long they are retained, so don’t assume they will be there forever. For those who wish to see a screen shot there’s one on Genealogy Tip of the Day, so I won’t repeat that here.

I do wish that the site gave me the option of “seen it before and don’t need it” or something like that. GenealogyBank has never had the bells and whistles of Ancestry.com, which in some ways makes it easier to use.

Determining which specific issues GenealogyBank has of what newspaper is still extremely difficult. That’s an added feature I wish they would add.
