A little humor in this post.
Just when I think I’ve seen about every oddball transcription on Ancestry.com along comes a new one. This looked like “dean of girls to me,” but Ancestry.com read it as
“Dance of Gods.” I don’t think I can add any more to that other than–always look at the original.

Good one! Somewhat connected to that… I have often wished that Occupations were a searchable part of Ancestry.com’s databases. Do you know of any databases– or genealogy software– where that kind of search might be possible?

Try the name of the occupation in the Keyword box if using Ancestry.com.
