Researching when one is tired and distracted is never a good idea. It also makes it a little more obvious how incorrect things get in indexes and finding aids.
When first viewing the World War Two “Old Men’s Draft” card for Peter S. Verikios I thought his address was 408 Ellis Street or maybe 408 Eills Street. Then it dawned on me, it was:
408 E. 115
Sometimes it’s easy to see how errors creep into records.
And sometimes it’s time to put the research away and go to bed.
